Beautiful memory in New York

I traveled many places overseas or domestic with my husband, out of all those, the best luxurious travel was New York, when we went at the end of 2000.
It sure was luxurious travel but we didn’t stay at high class hotel. We enjoyed entertainments perfectly in New york. We saw two musicals “Beauty and the Beast” and “Phantom of the Opera”, and the New York City Ballet “The Nutcracker”, and Metropolitan Opera “La traviata”. We have husband's friend who manages a travel agent, we had him take those tickets, therefore we were able to get good seats at every shows.
There are theaters for ballet and opera located in “Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts”. A big Christmas tree decorated with ornaments music-related were there, it was so beautiful.
While traveling, There was a heavy snowfall in New York. Snow piled up on that Christmas tree, I can't forget that beauty even now. Winter in New York is really cold, but we can have such experience for that reason, winter.
夫とは海外も国内もたくさん旅行しましたが、その中でも2000年の年末年始に行ったニューヨークへの旅行が一番の贅沢旅行でした。
贅沢といっても一流ホテルに泊まったわけではありません。エンターテイメントを思う存分楽しんだ旅行でした。ミュージカルを2本「美女と野獣」「オペラ座の怪人」、ニューヨークシティーバレエは「くるみ割り人形」、メトロポリタンオペラでは「椿姫」を鑑賞しました。友人の旅行エージェントに依頼して取っていただいたのでどれも良いお席で大満足でした。
バレエとオペラは同じリンカーンセンター内に劇場があります。そこに音符や楽器など音楽にまつわるオーナメントが飾られた大きなクリスマスツリーがあり、とても綺麗でした。
そして旅行中ニューヨークは大雪に見舞われたんです。劇場前のあのクリスマスツリーには雪が積もり、その美しい姿が今でも忘れることができません。冬のニューヨークは寒いですが、そんな体験ができるのは冬でこそ、ですね。
