Rock, Paper, Scissors

A few weeks ago, I had talking about JANKEN with my classmate of English lesson.
When she said to her American acquaintance JANKEN was played by "stone, paper, scissors", she was laughed at by him, she said. Usually it is called rock, and as for the stone, never‐never land is imagined.
Oh! I see. It was good for me.
先日、英会話のクラスメイトとの会話でジャンケンについて話題になりました。
彼女が、知り合いのアメリカ人にジャンケンは「ストーン、シザー、ペーパー」で遊ぶという説明をしたら笑われたそうです。ストーンではなくロックと言うのが通常で、ストーンていう言い方はお伽の国のお話に出てくるイメージだそう。
へ～そうなんだ。勉強になりました！
