Foreign workers

In Japan, there is a serious shortage of labour, moreover foreign laborers are supposed to increase.
Foreign store clerks of convenience stores have increased recently, I think. Now,the number of foreign store clerks of national convenience stores in Japan seems to be one foreigner in every twenty store clerks.
I worked a part-time job at a convenience store in my high school days, at that time, it was a simple work that only operating a cash register. However, recent job contents of the convenience store are accepting home delivery service, selling more than 100 kinds of cigarets, related of electronic money cards, issuing event tickets or so on, their tasks are diverse. I admire that foreigners are doing such tasks without difficulty.
When I will become to have nursing-care service, probably we are supposed to let foreigners give it.
Though there are meny problems, I hope that it is good if we Japanese and foreigners can go well all right to live each other.
日本の労働者不足は深刻なので、更に外国人労働者が増えていくようですね。
最近、コンビニの店員さんに外国人が多くなった、と感じています。現在、全国のコンビニで働く外国人は、スタッフ20人のうち1人が外国人という数字だそうです。
私も高校生の時にコンビニでアルバイトをしていましたが、レジ打ちのみの単純作業でした。しかし、現在のコンビニの仕事内容といったら、宅配便の手配、百種を超えるタバコの販売、電子マネー、イベントチケット発行業務など多岐に渡ります。外国人たちはそんな業務を難なくこなしていることに感心しています。
私が介護サービスを受ける年齢になったときには、きっと外国人にお世話してもらうことになるのでしょうね。
問題は多いですが、日本人と外国人がお互いにうまく生きていければいいなと思っています。
