Have you ever talked about war from experienced people?
Yes, I have.
At the end of the World War, my late father was 15 years old. He never went to the battlefield as a soldier, however he talked me over and over again that he could not eat enough food and he was always hungry, and run desperately away from the air bombardments.
I got bored with his talking and I heard that with indifference, because I did not understund about war and was too young. I am sorry that I should have listened to it carefully.
When I went to a clinic before, an old gentleman sitting next to me talked about the great Fukagawa air bombardments. It was very cogent talking from a experienced person.
We must not do war !
あなたは戦争体験者から戦争の話を直接聞いたことがありますか？
はい、あります。
亡くなった父は、終戦時15歳。戦地へ行くことはありませんでしたが、食べるものがなくてひもじい思いをしたこと、死にものぐるいで走って空襲から逃げたことなど、何度も何度も聞かされました。
まだ若く戦争の辛さを理解していなかった私は、父が繰り返し語る同じ話しに飽きていいかげんに聞いていました。今思うと、父の体験にきちんと耳を傾けてあげるべきだったなと反省しています。
以前、病院の待合室で隣に座っていた老紳士から深川大空襲の時の話を聞きました。今は平和なこの町ですが、戦時中は悲惨な状況だったことが伝わってきました。戦争経験者のお話は現実味があります。
戦争は絶対にあってはならないと強く思います。

I saw the gekidanshiki musical “The Cats" I was looking forward to.
At first, I was immediately impressed when I entered into the theater. 360 degrees of wall in the theater is decorated a garbage dump which is a cat's residence.
Dancing and singing was wonderful as expected. My seat was aisle side, and cats passed there many times, so I was able to feel breathing, makeup, costume and singing voice nearby, then I was impressed such thing also.
At intermission, there was glad service that we audience could went on stage, so I watched every place as a cat’s mind.
The most impressive was scene which the prostitute cat sang “Memory”. She is good at singing too much, so I was moved to tears. I thought that I could go to "The Cats" again in order to listen her singing voice.
At last, cats came down to the seats and shook hands with some lucky audiences.
I am satisfied, so I can’t forget impression "The Cats" even now.
楽しみにしていた劇団四季の「The Cats」を見てきました。
まずは、劇場に入った途端に装飾に感動しました。壁が３６０度、猫達の住処であるゴミ捨て場の装飾になっているんです。
期待通り、歌もダンスも素晴らしかったです。私の席は通路側だったので演者の猫が何度もそこを通り、間近でメイクや衣装や歌声、息づかいを感じられたことにも感動しました。
休憩時間には観客もステージにあがれる嬉しいサービスがあり、猫になった気分で隅々まで見てきました。
いちばん感動したのは娼婦猫のグリザベラが「メモリー」を歌う場面。あまりの上手さに心を揺さぶられ、思わず涙が溢れ出てしまいました。あの歌声を聞くために、また「The Cats」を見に行ってもいいな、と思いました。
最後は猫達が客席に降りてきて、ラッキーな人は握手してもらえます。
大満足だった「The Cats」の感動が未だ消えません。

I saw the movie "Mission impossible/Fallout".
I am the same age as Tom Cruise. However, he has built up his strong body and is youthful even now.
In the past, when we saw foreign movies, Natsuko Toda translated them almost. I have seen her as translator for foreign actors on TV recently.
However, this movie is translated by Natsuko Toda. Tom Cruise seems to give OSEIBO to her because she is a nice friend. Probably, he trusts her definitely.
「ミッションインポッシブル フォールアウト」を見てきました。
私、トム・クルーズと同じ年なんです。しかしトム様、鍛えられた身体の動きはまだまだ若いですね。
ひと昔前は、洋画というと、ほぼ、訳は戸田奈津子さんでした。最近はたまに通訳としてテレビでお見かけします。
この映画の訳は、戸田奈津子さんでした。トム様からお歳暮が贈られてれてくる仲だそうです。きっと戸田奈津子さんに対する絶対的な信頼があるのですね。

33 years already passed since JAL airplane crash in 1985. I still clearly remember that thing even now.
I went to a driving school just that time, and I knew that from TV news when I went back to home and was relaxing. After that, I was greatly shocked by reported terrible circumstances.
I think, the bereaved family and survivors were painful for 33 years. But also from now.
I pray safety on sky.
1985年の日航機墜落事故から、もう33年も経つんですね。けれど、私は今でもはっきりとあの日のことを覚えています。
私はちょうど自動車教習所に通っていて、帰宅して寛いでいたときにニュースで知りました。その後報道される悲惨な状況に大きなショックを受けたものです。
ご遺族や生存者の方々にとっては、今までの33年間は辛い日々だったと思います。そしてこれからも。
ただただ、空の安全を祈るばかりです。

I traveled many places overseas or domestic with my husband, out of all those, the best luxurious travel was New York, when we went at the end of 2000.
It sure was luxurious travel but we didn’t stay at high class hotel. We enjoyed entertainments perfectly in New york. We saw two musicals “Beauty and the Beast” and “Phantom of the Opera”, and the New York City Ballet “The Nutcracker”, and Metropolitan Opera “La traviata”. We have husband's friend who manages a travel agent, we had him take those tickets, therefore we were able to get good seats at every shows.
There are theaters for ballet and opera located in “Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts”. A big Christmas tree decorated with ornaments music-related were there, it was so beautiful.
While traveling, There was a heavy snowfall in New York. Snow piled up on that Christmas tree, I can't forget that beauty even now. Winter in New York is really cold, but we can have such experience for that reason, winter.
夫とは海外も国内もたくさん旅行しましたが、その中でも2000年の年末年始に行ったニューヨークへの旅行が一番の贅沢旅行でした。
贅沢といっても一流ホテルに泊まったわけではありません。エンターテイメントを思う存分楽しんだ旅行でした。ミュージカルを2本「美女と野獣」「オペラ座の怪人」、ニューヨークシティーバレエは「くるみ割り人形」、メトロポリタンオペラでは「椿姫」を鑑賞しました。友人の旅行エージェントに依頼して取っていただいたのでどれも良いお席で大満足でした。
バレエとオペラは同じリンカーンセンター内に劇場があります。そこに音符や楽器など音楽にまつわるオーナメントが飾られた大きなクリスマスツリーがあり、とても綺麗でした。
そして旅行中ニューヨークは大雪に見舞われたんです。劇場前のあのクリスマスツリーには雪が積もり、その美しい姿が今でも忘れることができません。冬のニューヨークは寒いですが、そんな体験ができるのは冬でこそ、ですね。

I decided to write this diary in English, and same time I aimed to continue it for a year at least. but I couldn't do it in these 2days. I want to chtch up with real day even late, I am thinking.
I saw NHKmorning drama “Massan” before, since then I have loved whisky. The model is Nikka whisky founder Masataka Taketsuru, I felt his strong belief of making high quality whisky in that drama. Before that time, I drank whisky, but whisky wasn't my favorite. I wanted to know his belief, so I drank Nikka whisky “Taketsuru”. Then, I was sure that whiskey is very tasty.
According to the article, the drink that whisky with strawberries seems so tasty. I can't get strawberries in this season, so I will make a whisky drink using another fruit.
英語で日記を書こう思ったのと同時に1年間毎日書くという目標を決めていたんです。しかし、ここ2日書けませんでした。遅れてでもなんとか追いつきたいと思っています。

At first I thought, what does green light mean ? It means, to allow a project, plan etc to begin. It might be related to a traffic light. That shows cars or people they can go forward.
When the great earthquake of Kumamoto happened, at opportunity that a Finnish company offered liquid baby formula as emergency aid, the production and sale of liquid baby formula were approved in Japan on Wednesday. In fact, it seems to be a long way off that liquid baby formula is distributed, I hope that is done as soon as possible because of an emergency food for babies.
まず、green lightって何？と思い調べてみたら、許可とか容認という意味なんですね。道路信号の色と関係があるのかな。信号の青(緑)も通るのを許可しますということですものね。
熊本大地震の時にフィンランドの会社から緊急援助として液体ミルクが提供された事を機に、日本でもその製造及び販売が水曜日に許可されました。実際に流通するのはまだ先の事になりそうですが、赤ちゃんの非常食ですから早く実現するといいですね。
